After the 22-year-old’s latest breakthrough release into the Industry, Peachy Keen, Billboard Music said, “Nothing is getting in the way of L Devine”. As she recalls, “I loved the idea of combining this huge ‘80s synth line with a heavy trap beat and writing lyrics about the most angsty, millennial relation-ship I could think of. Peachy Keen is about two people who have so many of their own individual problems and no real way of coping with them, but find comfort in the fact that at least they’re both messed up together.” Who knew a heavy subject, paired with a heavy synth line, over a familiar trap beat could feel so fresh!
