Brooki is the Dublin-based quartet fronted by Sarah Brookfield, alongside guitarist Dara Gooney, bassist Jake Brennan, and drummer Anna Kelly. Heavily influenced by 90s alternative music, their sound combines elements of folk with grunge, and incorporates the honesty of Jeff Buckley and the grit of early PJ Harvey. The band currently doesn’t have any music on streaming platforms; however, live performances of tracks such as Apple and 16 have proven to carry the same emotional weight and relatability as those of bands like Keo. Their moody, atmospheric sonics erupt with anthemic confidence. Littered with Red Hot Chilli Peppers-esque basslines, and the smooth tones of Sarah Brookfield’s soaring vocals, which at times burst with anger, especially on already TikTok-approved Amber, Brooki is set to become the next cult indie band.
